In other news from around the Southwest, IMBA partnered with Diné (Navajo) on trail care creating more awesome trails close to home, with family trails and advanced trails, all in the same spot, using ingenuity to build sustainably on the land. Check out the five minute highlight video below! (IMBA is the International Mountain Bike Association)

“That’s really all it is, you may not have known each other, but it’s seeing the similar interests, which would be mountain biking. That’s what really brings everybody together.”

“The camaraderie, the friendship, the happiness, all of that creates a really good space no matter where you’re at.”

“Trails on Diné land, the trails school, the trail class, it brings us together from all directions….and It’s a community that I think is always willing to have its doors open.”

“You can only do so much as one person, but when you come together all at once for a similar cause, you can make a lot of things happen in a short span of time. And as an outsider, as someone who doesn’t have any familial ties to this place, coming out here and seeing that it really puts into perspective this sense of strength that community has and how much people are willing to make it work.”

All quotes are from the 2023 Diné (Navajo) IMBA Trail Care School video. Thank you!
